A friend told me that I only need 80% or above overall and 90% in A2 to get an A* in Physics. If this is the case then this is great news as if I get 90% in Unit 5 then I got an A* :D But is this actually true?...

Hi, for my physics coursework I have been measuring g in different ways. To find a value for g using a free fall method I plotted s against t^2, however my line of best fit does not go through the origin, and I have to explain why? In this question (and others like it) how do you know, when working out b I know you have sxy on the top but on the bottom how do you know which it will be sxx or syy Is it because the teacher is trying to measure the physics mark compared to the maths mark so the physics mark will be the dependant variable (syy)?...

i bought the edexcel physics revison guide and one question from unit 3 "exploring physics" : -can you use a multimeter to measure the resistance of a piece of wire, but not that of a light bulb when it is on. can you explain why? The only helpful resources I've found are the Collins revision guides (which are very good) but other than that, can't seem to find anything on AQA Physics AS. There also arent many past papers since the syllabus changed in 2009...

Hello, im resitting CCEA physics as1. Sometimes the question is asked to describe the experiment of measuring acceleration. To do this i use the experiment that uses light gates, a data logger and a card of specified length. However the mark scheme shows only a timing experiment using stopclock etc..
