Here is the question: Find the values of θ in the interval 0 < θ < π such that cosec θ − sin θ = 2, giving your answers to 2 decimal places. The answer gets a quadratic: sin^2(θ) + 2 sin (θ) − 1 = 0 How did they get from cosec θ − sin θ = 2, to the quadratic? many thanks...
